Mesh panels are an effective way to prevent access to machine hazards by reaching in, but the transparency of the mesh should also be considered in safeguarding design. Black mesh is much easier to see through than white and yellow. Choosing black or natural metal mesh for guarding will improve visibility through the guard. The more transparent a guard is, the better the chances of the guard remaining in place when troubleshooting a problem with the machine!
